What the record says

Where this comes from
This person is not in the family's file. They exist here because an act names them, and this archive has read it. The register gives their trade as contadino (un tempo). The reading is Giarre, Matrimoni 1820 atto 30; Macchia, Morti 1838 atto 28 and 1843 atto 48, read in the original. Nothing on this page comes from Michael's export, which never held them — so there is no tree account here to agree or disagree with, and the pieces the export arrived in do not include them. No record has been read for this person. What is known of them is what the tree asserts, and it is unverified.
Others of the same name
These three towns repeat their names relentlessly — this archive holds four men called Rosario Mazza and four called Giuseppe Arena. These are different people, kept apart on purpose rather than merged into one. Why →
- Cirino Nicotra — 1812 , Giarre
Why this person is here
Named «fu CIRINO» in the death acts of both his sons (Salvadore 1838, Alfio 1843) and in Salvadore's marriage act of 1820, where he is a contadino «un tempo». MACCHIA, a comune beside Giarre later absorbed into it; the place is filed under Giarre because Macchia and its hamlets Milo and Dagala are not on the map. Nothing is known of his own parents. SIMONE NICOTRA (born about 1776, Giarre, S. Alfio quarter) is of this generation and this place and is NOT SHOWN to be a third son of Cirino: that is a hypothesis, and the test would be Simone's own baptism or death.
