How our line connects

Not connected to our line yet. No Sofi married a man of the Mazza name line or was a parent of one or of his wife: the Sofi come into the children's descent through Angela Polistena, whose side meets that line only in its living generations. Annunziata Sofi is the mother of Michele Donato, the father of Nunnziata Donato, the mother of Angela Polistena.

Who bears it

3 people, 2 descent groups

A descent group is every bearer of the name who can be reached from one another through parent, child and marriage links between bearers — the rule the Mazza and Arena pages use. Two groups are two groups until a record joins them, however alike their names and their towns.

How it connects

The families it is joined to

Every parent, child or marriage link from one of these people to a person of another surname, as the archive draws it. A living person on the other end is left out. The surname is the other person's, not a claim about their family.

How we know

What rests on a record and what rests on the tree

3 of the 3 have at least one record read for them (Documented); none is known from the family tree alone. Of the 10 parent, child and marriage links that touch these people, 4 are proved by a register or an index this archive has read; the other 6 come from the tree alone. 2 people have a register reading that disagrees with the tree (Disputed): it is on their own page and the Corrections.

That everyone who bears this name is one family. They are gathered here by the name, and a line is drawn between two of them only where the tree or a register draws it. Where this page says "group", it means exactly that and no more.
