Birth year and birthplace — A CONTRADICTION — CANNOT BOTH BE TRUE. She arrives at Brisbane on 7 December 1937 as an ITALIAN ALIEN aged EIGHT -- so born about 1929, in Italy. A child born at Tully in 1926 would be eleven and an Australian-born British subject, needing no alien declaration at all. Her sister Maria, «age 15», fits the tree's 1922 exactly, so the record is not loose about ages.
