What the record says
Where this comes from
This person is not in the family's file. They exist here because an act names them, and this archive has read it. The reading is Riposto, Matrimoni 1844 atto 39 (index); Nati 1845 atto 75 and 1847 atto 152 (Tavola). Nothing on this page comes from Michael's export, which never held them — so there is no tree account here to agree or disagree with, and the pieces the export arrived in do not include them. All 2 of the relationships drawn above have been proved by a record this archive has read, rather than taken from the family tree.
No record has been read for this person. What is known of them is what the tree asserts, and it is unverified.
Why this person is here
«Barbagallo Maria of Riposto, daughter of ROSARIO BARBAGALLO and ANNA CAMPAGNA», marrying Salvadore Nicotra of Giarre in July 1844, and named as the mother in both children's entries. Her parents are named in the index and are deliberately not given rows here: nothing about them has been read beyond that line. She was a widow by 11 December 1848, when her husband died at Mascali — whether she stayed at Riposto, followed him there, or returned is not known. READ FROM THE TAVOLA, NOT THE ACT: the annual index gives the entry, the parents and the date, and the act itself has not been opened. The Tavola's date column is the date of the act and may follow the birth by a few days. Generation is inferred from the parent's, against SIMONE NICOTRA at gen 7 and born about 1776. NOBODY HERE IS ATTACHED TO THE TREE; the number places them in time, not in the descent.
