Giovana Zirilli
Known from the family tree. No record has been read for this person.
Every relationship drawn here comes from the family tree, and not one of them has yet been proved by a record. That is the honest state of this archive for this person: the chart shows what Michael Mazza's tree asserts, and the colour tells you only whether anything at all has been read about the person at the other end. The method →
- rocco arena — The register gives Rocco Arena's mother as SERAFINA ARLOTTA, not Giovana Zirilli. He named a daughter Serafina in New York in 1898, and an Arlotta was lodging with him there in 1900.
The chart still draws the family tree exactly as it was given. This archive does not silently rewrite someone else's research — it marks the edge and shows its working.
What is recorded
Nothing but a name and a place in the family. This person is known only because somebody else's record names them.
A register contradicts what is written above. The lines in this block are the family tree's account. 2 readings taken from the original acts disagree with it — what the registers say →
Where this comes from
All 1 of the relationships drawn above come from Michael Mazza's family tree, and none of them has been proved by a record this archive has read.
2 records have been read about them:
- Scilla, Nati 1856 atto 180 and 1859 atto 46 — named as the mother both times — birth register
- Scilla, Nati 1856 atto 180 and 1859 atto 46 — flagged
The export carries her twice as Orazio Arena's wife: undated here, and as Giovanna Zirilli b. 1827 with a son Guiseppe. Act 46 shows a single couple at Scilla in 1859. The two records have NOT been merged, because surname endogamy at Scilla is common enough that a second wife of the same surname is a real possibility.
Duplicate record — Almost certainly one woman entered twice. NOT merged here, because surname endogamy at Scilla is common enough that a second wife of the same surname is genuinely possible -- the 1913 marriage index alone has Bueti marrying Bueti and Vizzari marrying Vizzari. NOTE: whichever way that resolves, neither Zirilli record should carry Rocco or Giuseppe as a child -- they belong to Serafina Arlotta.
Where the two disagree, the chart above still draws the tree as it stands. This archive does not silently rewrite what it was given — the acts are here.
