ROCCO ARENA'S SISTER, NOT HIS BROTHER -- and this archive carried her as a son for weeks. The act says «una FEMINA», then «di dare alla FANCIULLA il nome di DOMENICA», and the baptism column names DOMENICA ARENA. Three statements in one act, none ambiguous. Her father is written out in full as FRANCESCANTONIO ARENA, thirty-two, MARINARO -- exact for a birth on 25 November 1819 -- and her mother SERAFINA ARLOTTA, twenty-two, exact for 13 June 1830. Not in the family tree. IT ALSO REMOVES A MYSTERY: a daughter who married leaves the Arena surname, so «Domenico Arena disappears after 1853» was never a disappearance.
