Born at Macchia, living at Milo; daughter of Venerando Torrisi (66, bracciale) and the late Filippa Sorbello. Married GIUSEPPE NICOTRA, pecoraio, son of Alfio and Lucia Bella, in May 1841; he was a widower again by February 1851. MACCHIA, a comune beside Giarre later absorbed into it; filed under Giarre because Macchia, Milo and Sant'Alfio are not on the map.
