This person is not in the family's file. They exist here because an act names them, and this archive has read it. The register gives their trade as industriosa. The reading is Piedimonte Etneo, Nati 1845 atto 64; Piedimonte Etneo, Matrimoni allegati 1871, fascicolo 14 -- «CERTIFICATO di seguita pubblicazione di matrimonio senza opposizione», 16 April 1871. Nothing on this page comes from Michael's export, which never held them — so there is no tree account here to agree or disagree with, and the pieces the export arrived in do not include them. Why this person is here
ROSARIO MAZZA'S MOTHER, named in his birth act of 2 June 1845 and nowhere in the family tree. The parish of the CHIESA MAGGIORE returned the baptism notice the same day. She and Mariano were both thirty-six, so both born about 1809 -- which puts their marriage in the window the Piedimonte MATRIMONI PROCESSETTI cover from 1841, a series this archive has never opened. ALIVE ON 16 APRIL 1871: «e della VIVENTE MARIA CATALANO, professione industriosa, residente anche ivi». The same certificate that gives her husband. It is also the first record of her TRADE -- industriosa, the word these registers use for a woman doing piecework at home.
