THE FIRST PROSTAMO EVER FOUND IN THE QUEENSLAND INDEX, and she was born a MELLUSO. She is buried at Mount Gravatt as MARIA ASSUNTA PROSTAMO in plot 3B-607, immediately beside DOMENICO FRANCESCO PROSTAMO in 3B-608 -- husband and wife by the adjacent-plot rule. A MELLUSO MARRIED A PROSTAMO A SECOND TIME, two generations after Alfonso Prostamo married Caterina Melluso at Briatico on 21 May 1887; HOW SHE JOINS ALFONSO'S LINE IS UNTESTED and a repeated surname pairing is a hint, not a descent. Trove has her independently, naturalised 4 July 1966 at 3 Frank Street, Graceville. THE TWO DATES RECONCILE: she DIED on 27 October 1991 and was BURIED on the 30th.
