MICHELE DONATO'S ELDER BROTHER, and named for the grandfather who has his own row above, and new to this archive. Married DOMENICA ROMANO, 21, a spinner, at Scilla on 11 December 1874. He was a sailor like his father, and unmarried before it. His existence is what the naming custom predicted: Domenico Donato was «figlio di Candeloro», so his first son should be a Candeloro, and here he is.
