The index spells the mother PONTILLO here, correctly -- the same index got her wrong three years later, which is a useful reminder that an index can be right and wrong about the same woman in the same series. HIS ACT IS ATTO 174 AND IT HAS BEEN READ. It gives his parents' ages -- Giuseppe thirty-four and a MARINARO, Anna thirty-three -- which cross-check his sister's act of 1836 exactly. AND ITS MARGIN CARRIES HIS MARRIAGE: «L'anno 1869, il giorno 12 Luglio ... ha contratto matrimonio in questo Comune con COLORINA BRI[...]». He lived to thirty-five and married at Scilla on 12 JULY 1869; the bride's name is cut by the binding and is recorded as read, uncertain. Not in the family tree.
