NOTE WHAT HE IS NOT: this archive briefly carried a DOMENICO COSTA, commerciante, as a candidate for Maria's father, on the strength of his standing witness at her daughter's registration in 1830. HER FATHER WAS ROCCO. The candidate is withdrawn by the act, which is what candidates are for.
