AN ARENA HOUSEHOLD AT SCILLA WITH NO ESTABLISHED CONNECTION TO THIS FAMILY, and it is recorded here as exactly that. He is a BARBER where the spine is four generations of sailors, and the only Arena this archive has who was alive in the 1740s. His wife is ANNA MELIDONI and his eldest son DIEGO ARENA, sartore, married Maria Giuseppa Pontillo in 1813. HE IS NOT CLAIMED AS ORAZIO ARENA'S FATHER, and the temptation to claim him is the reason this note exists: Scilla has more than one Arena family, and TWO DIFFERENT PEOPLE sharing a surname in one small town is how this archive nearly hung a birth act on the wrong Mariano Mazza a week ago. What would settle it is Orazio Arena's own marriage, which is pre-1809 and parish.
