ROCCO ARENA AND GENEROSA COSTA'S SON, BORN IN NEW YORK. Baptised at OUR LADY OF LORETTO on 15 November 1896, six weeks old, with the family at 141 MULBERRY STREET. THE TREE HAS AN «Antonio Arena» AMONG ROCCO'S CHILDREN AND NO DATES FOR HIM; this is very probably the same boy, but the export's Antonio carries nothing to test it against, so he is entered here rather than merged. HIS BIRTH DATES THE EMIGRATION FROM THE INSIDE: his sister Anna was born at Scilla in January 1893 and he was born in Manhattan in October 1896, so the household crossed between those two dates -- which fits the 1892 and 1894 crossings already documented for his father.
